From Strategy to Self-Discovery: Why Coaching Felt Like the Next Right Step

Before I launched TGG Confidence Coaching, I wrote a post that marked a turning point in my professional journey. It was called “Coaching with Clarity: Why I’m Expanding My Practice,” and it still captures the heart of what led me here.

In that post, I shared this:

“I’m not leaving strategy behind. I’m bringing it with me.”

That line continues to ring true. My work in strategic communications taught me how to help leaders find the right words. Coaching taught me how to help them find the right voice. And after more than 100 hours of coaching education and application, I’ve seen firsthand how clarity, when paired with courage, can transform not just messaging but momentum.

Since writing that post, I’ve coached changemakers through transitions, trade-offs, and truth-telling. I’ve helped them name what matters, navigate what’s next, and reclaim their confidence in the process. This practice is rooted in values alignment, narrative refinement, and the belief that leadership begins with self-awareness.
